Salmon fishing continues to be hot on rivers all across Western Washington. Thursday morning on the Lewis river, Bear Farm Outdoors home river, saw reasonable fishing pressure with good pushes of both coho and chinook coming up the low, clear water.
Stretches of river like this, with fast water, no holes to concentrate fish, no boulders or other structure to create eddies, are best fished drifting a bead, yarn fly, or corkie setup. Shout out to Frank, the guy in the orange hoodie, who spent more time helping new anglers get into fish than he did fishing.
yyyyyy
More Fish are on the way
With rain in the forecast for Sunday through Thursday, fresh water in the rivers may raise the water levels and will bring in the next big push of fish. Get your rain gear ready, and get out there!
